Step 2: Agree on the currency you will receive at Monzo
Your sender can have their own bank convert the funds from their home currency to GBP, or Monzo can take this step for you. If Monzo converts the transfer from a foreign currency to GBP for deposit there’s a 1% fee. You may want to check the costs if your sender arranges the conversion instead, to decide which is the best value.
Step 3: Your money will be deposited into your Monzo account in GBP
Once your money has arrived and after conversion if needed, the payment is deposited to your Monzo account with no further action needed by you.
